Blackjack Terminal Game (Java)

A feature-rich, interactive Blackjack game for the terminal, developed in Java. This project combines classic Blackjack mechanics with innovative gameplay elements, including a unique life system, dealer AI, randomized dialogue, and creative power-ups. Built as a personal programming challenge, the game demonstrates a complete game loop, robust card logic, and an engaging user experience within a console environment.

Key Features

• Life System: Both player and dealer begin with 4 lives. Losing all lives restarts the game, adding an extra layer of strategy and challenge.
• Dealer AI: The dealer follows standard Blackjack rules—revealing a hidden card, hitting until reaching 17, and reshuffling when the deck is low.
• Power-Ups: Each round, players receive two random power-ups with unique effects, such as:

• Randomized Dialogue: Quirky dealer reactions, humorous lines, and win/loss messages add humor and personality to each session.

How to Play

1. Receive two cards and view the dealer’s face-up card.
2. Choose to hit or stand.
3. Use power-ups strategically to outlast the dealer each round.
4. Reduce the dealer’s lives to zero to advance.
5. Win all rounds to complete the game.
